Jon grew up in Albuquerque, but didn’t discover Montessori education until moving to Seattle in 2014 with his then 4 year old daughter. While there, he discovered a school that lined up hand in hand with his own parenting style - both in the way the children were spoken to respectfully, and the way the environment was set up to benefit the child. This “children’s house” as it was called, gave Jon his first experience as an educator, and in the years to follow, he worked with any age groups at many Montessori schools. He looks forward to continuing his journey as an educator at Mountain View Montessori. In his free time, Jon enjoys staying active by running, climbing, and exploring the outdoors with his daughter.
