Ms. Wendy was born in Brooklyn, New York. She later relocated here to New Mexico where she met her husband and started substituting for APS. She was eventually introduced to the Montessori Method and fell in love. Ms. Wendy received her National Center for Montessori Education (NCME) Primary Certification in Los Alamos, New Mexico. She is also a current member of the American Montessori Society (AMS), The Montessori Foundation, The New Mexico Montessori Network, and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Ms. Wendy has two daughters, and is a grandmother of four. In her free time, she enjoys leisurely reading, interior decorating, and fashion design.
Ms. Rosalba is from Costa Rica and studied Sociology before moving the the United States in 1998. Ms. Rosalba worked at Montessori of the Rio Grande in the toddler room. She then went to Academy Montessori and was the assistant in the 3-6 classroom. When Academy closed down, Ms. Rosalba came to Mountain View Montessori. Ms. Rosalba likes to travel and working with children.
Ms. Renee was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She received her 3-6 certificate from the World Wide Montessori online training program. She also has her certificate in Early Care, Education and family support. Ms. Renee has been working for over 18 years as an assistant and lead teacher in toddler and 3-6 environments and absolutely loves it. She and her husband have been married for twenty years and have two wonderful sons. Both of her children attended Montessori schools and are now excelling academically. In her spare time, you can find Ms. Renee volunteering at her church.
Michelle was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico. She has a daughter who is 9 years old. Michelle has been working with kids since she was 17 years old and finds it her calling. She has worked for both public and private schools and had spent 8 years working at Bosque school before coming to MVM. Michelle is new to the Montessori method but is thankful to have the opportunity to experience Montessori education in its entirety.
Ms. Tami was born in Lovington, New Mexico. She has 2 adult sons. Children have always had a very special place in her heart. She greatly enjoys taking care of them as well as the elderly. Ms. Tami has been teaching at MVM for over 5 years now and continues to use her kind, nurturing personality to lead the toddlers on their path to success. In her free time, Ms. Tami enjoys taking nature walks and watching football.
Ms. Patricia was born in Colombia. There she worked as a physical therapist for many years. It was a very pleasant experience in her life. She then decided to move to the United States after having her daughter. She then learned of the Montessori Method and decided to find a job working at a Montessori school . This is where she had the opportunity to experience a Montessori education in its entirety. She is currently taking courses and will be completing her Montessori training in October.
Ms. Dina was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved to Albuquerque with her family in 1998. Ms. Dina has 10+ years experience working in education as a Teacher Assistant. She has two beautiful daughters who live in Austin, TX and San Diego, CA. Some of her hobbies include shopping, traveling, yoga, going to the gym, and spending time with her family.
Erika was born and raised in Ruidoso, New Mexico. She came to Albuquerque and attended college at the University of New Mexico, graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Special and Elementary Education with a minor in Theatre. While working for MVM, she had the opportunity to get her Montessori certification in the 2 1/2-6 year old age group. After completing her schooling, she decided to move to California for 4 years. There she continued to work in the Montessori field. She made a decision to move back to New Mexico after having her son in 2020 and has returned to work at MVM. She chose Mountain View Montessori for her son's education and has enrolled him in the 2-4 program.
Pilar was born and raised in San Francisco. She has a background in the travel industry and performing arts. She met Frank Leto in SF and moved to Oahu, Hawaii, where Frank worked as a Montessori teacher trainer and educator at several Montessori schools. She worked at the Front Desk of the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and continued teaching, and performing Brazilian and Afro-Cuban folkloric dances. Pilar and Frank have been married 40 years with 2 children, who are Montessori alumni. Pilar and Frank were brought to Albuquerque to work at Montessori schools. They have traveled nationally and internationally as Montessori educators and performers. They produce annual concerts for children and Carnaval, hiring the great artists of New Mexico.
Valarie is a native New Mexican. She grew up in the North Valley of Albuquerque and is a proud graduate of Valley High School. Valarie has her Associates degree in Counseling and Early Childhood. She started working with children when she was employed at the NAF services on the base during her college years. Valarie likes taking nature walks, writing short stories and essays. One of her goals is to write a children's book.
